A unique first virtual 3D fair for the Dutch manufacturing industry

Midden in de Maak

A unique first virtual 3D fair “Midden in de Maak” in September 2020 is a new, virtual fair where the Dutch manufacturing industry can come together and present themselves. This fair will be active online from 15 September to 14 October 2020 and it is expected that more than a hundred manufacturing companies will show their activities and services. Initiating publisher MYbusinessmedia is aiming for some 100,000 visitors. “Getting together now is difficult in these corona times. With this virtual fair we want to bring the Dutch manufacturing industry together, realize connections and offer companies / visitors the opportunity to show and discover innovations. Think of machine suppliers who want to show new developments or companies that show what they have to offer with the presentation of the company. The unique virtual platform is the meeting place for the manufacturing industry, “said CEO Joachim Driessen. Online manager Tom Visser sees the virtual trade fair as a supplement to the physical trade fairs. “You can also see this development in America and Asia, where the distances are of course much greater than in the Netherlands. Visitors to physical fairs can also visit the virtual fair a few days beforehand to determine which companies they want to see and speak to. The physical fairs are not on the agenda right now, so this fair offers opportunities for the manufacturing industry. ” Participating companies can furnish their stand fully with 3D machines, products, demos and 3D videos. “And direct contact can be made between visitors and exhibitors through the chat option. Flyers and brochure material can also be offered. It opens up countless possibilities. ” For the visitors, they walk through the exhibition hall and can enter any stand of the participating companies virtually, with a 360 degree view comparable to Google Street View. They can also indicate that they wish to contact the company themselves. The fair also offers the opportunity to organize seminars or webinars. Visitors must register for this and live contact is possible. The first trading day is on Tuesday September 15. Then the virtual fair “Midden in de Maak” will be officially opened by (subject to change) Mona Keijzer, State Secretary for Economic Affairs and Climate, Fried Kaanen, chairman of the Koninklijke Metaalunie and Rolf Elling, editor in chief of Supply & Demand.
